I am finally updating this blog. I had a really good weekend. My son and I went with my mother, a friend and a friend's daughter to a hot air balloon festival. Fred was on call and couldn't go with us. It was too windy and the balloons couldn't fly. We spent the day roaming around looking at all the little shops. They had a merry-go-round and the kids got to ride it. I think my son likes shopping way too much. I told him that I would only buy him one thing and that he should look around and decide what that one thing should be. He had decided on a hand-crafter wood toy. When we went back for it, it was gone. But we had missed a kite vendor. Jesse ended up picking out a kite that looked like a hot air balloon and mini-kite. It was called a pocket kite. I got one too.
On Sunday, we dragged Fred with us and found a field down by where I work and flew kites. We had a bag with two kites in it that someone had bought for Jesse a long time ago and we had never used it. We had a lot of fun. We were out there for about three hours. Next time I'm going to take pictures. I really want to go fly a kite again! :)

I'm mad jealous about the balloon festival; one of the things I definitely want to do in my lifetime is go for a ride in a hot air balloon! I haven't decided *where* I should go, but it has been on my list for years. :-) Let me know the next time you guys go kite-flying; I'll definitely tag along.
